About me

I’m American, but have lived in England now for 19 and a half years.  My husband is English.   We have 5 living children, who we homeschool (or did homeschool – we have one adult child now but I’m still homeschooling 4!).

I enjoy crafting (mostly knitting, but I crochet, spin a little, felt, do mixed media art, sew etc etc), reading, walking in the country, putting up food, spending time on the net, and participating in my church.   I also like taking photos of what I see or what I am up to and sharing them with others.

We go to a Grace Baptist church and I love it.  We’ve only been there a little over 4 years and I love hearing the pure gospel instead of “therapeutic Christianity.”

The most important thing about me is that I came to agree with God about what He said about me and my (in)ability to please Him by myself, and repented of my sins and completely placed my trust in Jesus Christ to make me right with God.     I’m a work in progress and as I get older I realize what a horrible rotten person I am – and am perpetually amazed that Christ could possibly love and choose to save someone such as I.

‘therapeutic Christianity’- what a great phrase!

Thanks – it’s not original though – I got it off the White Horse Inn guys – specifically Michael Horton. TWHI is a radio show with 4 men who discuss modern “Christianity” in Ameriica, with a Reformed or Lutheran viewpoint.
